First Edition writes to the Lynx.ini file located in the workstation’s c:\windows folder. Lynx.ini keeps track of  the paths where First Edition data is stored, where the First Edition application is installed, printer configuration, and a host of other information. All First Edition users must have local administrative rights to allow First Edition to maintain the Lynx.ini file.
